According to a new Freedonia report, the global demand for plastic pipes will increase by 8.5% every year, and by 2017, demand for the US market is bounce back.

In 2007 and 2012, the growth of global demand was only 2.4%.

The recovery in the U.S. construction market will boost American demand by 9.8% per year, down by 7.1% in 2017, between 2007 and 2012. Similarly, demand in Western Europe has been reduced, and over the past six years, demand has seen a 5% increase in demand to 2017.

Asia will see a 9.7% increase in demand, falling from 11% in 2007 and 2012.

The demand for plastic pipes will also be boosted because the replacement of other materials is often used in copper, concrete or steel, and plastic pipes.

PVC resin is the most common use for pipelines, which accounts for more than 55% of the demand in 2012. However, the market share of high density polyethylene (HDPE), said from PVC Freedonia, is moving forward in many building applications.

Glass fiber - used in previous pipelines because of its high price limit - may prove the application of water because its performance advantages are more popular.
